2009年9月4日，美国加州大学戴维斯分校杰出教授、法国国家科学院外籍院士、《Plant Cell》的编辑William Lucas，在华大基因农业能源事业部黄三文、张耕耘老师的陪同下，参观华大基因。随后，William Lucas作客华大讲坛，为大家做了主题为“Studies on Plant Vascular Biology: Cucurbits as Model Systems to Identify Traits Vital to Agricultural Production”的讲座。
